Information

The Three Brothers Farm

This property has a surface of 39 hectares (96.37 acres) and is located in "Agua Amarga" community, within the municipality of "Coatepec Harinas, Estado de Mexico", one hour far from the "city of Toluca" and 25 minutes of "Villa Guerrero" and "Ixtapan de la Sal."

Weather

The weather in this region is tempered humid, temperature oscillates between the 12º and 30º degrees Celsius (around 53.6º and 86º F) throughout the year; annual average is between 20º and 24º degrees (68º and 75.2º F). "Coatepec Harinas" has an excellent water precipitation during rainy seasons, approx. 1000 millimeters annual. During the winter can get frosts during the months of December and January without regularity, mainly in the very last years.

Ground

Ground is sandy with great water retention in the subsoil, as well as the existence of underground rivers in all the place (excellent for well perforation.)

Water for irrigation

They are four ways to obtain water for irrigation. First, it is the use for agriculture water through a groove that gets through land and belongs to the community of "Cochisquila," as well as to "Agua Amarga" (bitter water.) Second are the "pozas" (reservours) with a capacity of little more of 650,000 meters of water all together, one of them in use. The
third, it can capture water from a water-spring that borns close to this land on the lowest site of the same one, the spring is located about 200 meters downhill. The last one, a perforation of a well, where the water is not beyond 30 meters of depth.

Farming

Thanks to weather conditions and of ground is possible to cultivate a great variety of fruits and vegetables, the most common in this place are: peach, avocado, flowers (carnation, roses, etc.), corn, beens, pumpkin, pees, potatoes and carrots.

Deeds

The land is divided in three deeds to the name of an individual, free of burden and in perfect order for its sale. They are not "ejidales" lands. The land is not flat on all its surface, it is fractioned, in addition it is drained in all its surface. Following a description of each deed:

Deed Number 1: 1. 8-35 Hectáreas of Flat land
Deed Number 2. 10-00 Hectáreas Part of flat land and another one declivity
Deed Number 3 20-75 Hectáreas Partialy on declivity and thelsat part on ravine.

How to get to The Three Brothers Farm?

Leaving from Toluca initiate the trip by the highway to Tenango of Valle Tenancingo. Getting close to "kilometer 20" take freeway to "Ixtapan de La Sal" on the right. On the freeway (kilometer 34) take the exit on the right to "Coatepec Harinas-Totolmajac". This highway takes you to the community of "Totolmajac" (10 kilometers ahead), go through the community as soon as you get the link to "Buena Vista" on your right or Coatepec Harinas-Porfirio Diaz forward to Coatepec on the left.
About 15 kilometers in advanced you find the "Porfirio Diaz" community. Less of a kilometer after getting through this community there is a small exit that goes to "Agua Amarga" then take the exit. At this point highway finishes and is required to get around 1,200 meters of countryland to get to "Three Brothers Ranch." As reference you will see many "nopal" cactus from the way. The last section of the trip is in good state and a regular car can get through without problem.
